Over the past three years, my family has moved from an 1980s neighborhood in southern Colorado to the center of a small town in western Maryland before landing in a new suburban home in north San Antonio. When my husband and I became parents, we were living in a crammed urban condo in South Boston.
I’ve always loved houses. Scrolling through real estate listings for fun and flipping through design magazines are how I recharge, and I’ve always been that way. I’d love to help you with a project in your home, photograph your space to sell it or advertise your business, or find out if your house might make a good subject for a house tour. Please email me.
I named this blog House Over Head because I want whatever house I’m living in to be as great as it can be. I am always excited to tackle room re-dos, attempt inexpensive furniture hacks, and learn to DIY intimidating home renovations.
Whether it’s a new and tiny condo, a lived-in, aging home, a temporary cottage rental, or a builder-basic family home, I want to bring out my home’s best features, help it to serve me and my family the best it can, and allow us to better share our home with others.
